Dear all

As you know there is no rehearsal next Monday or the following Monday.

However, don't forget to practise!  Here are the rehearsal websites that you can use: https://www.thornburychoralsociety.org.uk/dbpage.php?pg=view&dbase=rep&id=86.

Thornbury Arts Festival have written to me and asked if I can advertise this year's festival to you.  It has been moved forward to the original time of year to coincide with the reopening of the Armstrong.  Their website can be found here: https://www.thornburyartsfestival.org.uk/.  Here is what they say:

With the long awaited re-opening of The Armstrong next week, I just thought I would remind local organisations that Thornbury Arts Festival will be the first main event taking place there.

I’m sure you will have seen items about the festival in various local publications, read pieces online and seen our flyers, as well as possibly hearing radio interviews. Ordinarily we would be holding the festival in the autumn but we agreed to bring it forward by five months to coincide with the re-opening events - in fact returning to what had been our regular time of year before the Armstrong Hall closed down.

Your members may be particularly interested in the concert we have planned with Cardiff Cotswold Opera on Saturday, April 11. Murder at the Opera starts at 7.30pm and we have a special ticket price for under-25s of £15. Standard tickets are £18.

Anyone keen on folk music can also enjoy a performance by the Churchfitters on Saturday, April 18, also at 7.30pm. All tickets cost £18.

Perhaps you could pass this on to your members.

Many thanks,

Lynne Hutchinson
Member of Thornbury Arts Festival committee

Have a good Easter weekend.
