PREVIOUS COURSES

We offered a Get Back To Singing course in January-March 2020 to encourage, build confidence in singing and reading music. There were mentors to help as well as the course director, Kate Phillipson-Masters.  Those taking part were able to learn the choruses of Fauré’s Requiem with the possibility of joining Thornbury Choral Society to sing the Requiem as part of a concert.

Thornbury Choral Society also ran their second Absolute Beginners Course in 2011 starting in September 2011 and this course ran for 10 weeks and was very successful. The course took singers from the basics up to a point where they could, in most cases, confidently join in choral singing. 31 singers took part and a number joined Thornbury Choral Society when the course finished.
