Dear all
Next Monday will be our last rehearsal at Thornbury URC this year! The livestream link for this Monday will be: https://www.youtube.com/live/ONr_GGPtifo. We will be singing "The Long Day closes" by Arthur Sullivan along with parts of the Petite Messe Solennelle. I attach the score for you to print off. There will be a committee meeting beforehand.
The following Monday we will be at St Mary's Church when we will have our last rehearsal before concert day. In September, we will be using the newly refurbished Cossham Hall while Thornbury URC is itself being refurbished,
If you have not yet signed up to the Belshazzar Project on 4 April 2027 (see www.belshazzar.org), I do encourage you to do so. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to sing Walton's Belshazzar's Feast in the Bristol Beacon with 200 other amateur singers. The project has just announced some exciting news: Isata Kanneh-Mason will be playing Gershwin's Piano Concerto at the concert.
Best wishes,
Mike Elcock
