Dear all

We meet again next Monday at 7.30pm when we will be rehearsing more of the Durufle and Faure.  The livestream link will be here: https://www.youtube.com/live/3L6OLBot8g0 if you cannot make the rehearsal.

Please remember to sign in at reception when you arrive and can those people who have not yet paid their subs do so as soon as possible.  Please look out for this year's membership cards which should be ready in the next couple of weeks.

You will now find that more rehearsal websites for the Durufle have been added here: https://www.thornburychoralsociety.org.uk/dbpage.php?pg=view&dbase=rep&id=181.  Thanks to Charles for spotting that the Choral Guide channel on YouTube has videos for each part in sections I, III & IV of the Durufle (as per the score).

On the stage in the main hall, please feel free to look at and take leaflets about local concerts.  In particular, there is an exciting project coming up called Belshazzar.  Chris Hill is organising a performance of Belshazzar's Feast by William Walton on 4 April next year in the Bristol Beacon.  You can find more details of this here: https://www.belshazzar.org/.  There is a waiting list but tenors will be especially welcome.  I know a number of TCS members have joined this project.  It has been suggested that we share lifts to rehearsals.  Let me know if you want to do that and maybe we can meet after a rehearsal nearer the time to arrange this.

We hope that the bar will be open afterwards, but if not, we will go to the Wheatsheaf next door!

Alison says that the Cossham Hall have agreed to us bringing refreshments to a social, so we will now have the following events after the concert:

30 November Social with food and soft drinks (and maybe the bar) plus some carols in the Cossham Hall
7 December   Rehearsal for carols in the Cossham Hall
14 December No meeting (the hall is unavailable)
17 December Carols at the Gables, Falfield (1.30pm for 2pm start) - more details to follow

Please can I remind you that we have a website (click here: Thornbury Choral Society) which is kept up to date and should have all the information you need about rehearsals, concerts, socials, dates, helpful resources, details of all our past performances, photos, etc.  Please do use it and familiarise yourself with the contents.  If you have a question, you may find the answer there!

Best wishes,
Mike Elcock
